Data Shows Continuity of Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Trends and New Findings From Enhanced Survivorship Analyses
"Highlights in this Annual Report include new analysis of timely topics including dual mobility hip bearings and cementless fixation in total knee arthroplasty, exploration of the impact of patient comorbidities including smoking, and more sophisticated survivorship analyses with adjustment for age and sex, along with other findings."
-James A. Browne, MD
Chair, AJRR Publications Committee
and Editor, AJRR Publications
"Building on an already solid foundation, this year's Annual Report provides additional clinical insights and risk stratified outcome analyses related to patients who undergo hip and knee arthroplasty procedures. These analyses were made possible by the successful integration of administrative claims data into AJRR, which provides a more complete picture of our patient population and their associated comorbidities and outcomes, including longitudinal outcomes of patients who receive care at non-AJRR participating sites."
-Kevin J. Bozic, MD, MBA
Chair, AJRR Steering Committee
The 2019 Annual Report showcases new or enhanced Registry capabilities and offerings including:
